A muffle furnace is a laboratory instrument used to heat materials to extremely high temperatures whilst isolating them from fuel and the byproducts of combustion from the heat source. Muffle furnaces allow for the isolation of a material to reduce the risks of cross-contamination and identify specific properties. Our two product ranges are determined by how the kanthal wire elements are placed inside the furnace lining: wound or embedded.

The muffle furnaces provided by XRF Scientific are robust benchtop furnaces with a temperature range of 1050 to 1200oC. There is also an option to add overtemperature monitoring to prevent the furnace from operating above the required temperature.
