Mr Paul Rengel, Chairman (Non
Executive)
Paul
holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia; he is a fellow of
the Institute of Chartered Accountants,
and an Associate of the Australian Institute of Company
Directors and is a Registered Company Auditor. He serves on
several company boards as an executive director and/or
chairman.
After
having been a partner in Touche Ross he joined the Moore
Stephens firm in 1996 as a Corporate Services Partner covering
areas of takeovers, restructures and re-organisations, company
listings, strategic and general business planning.
Paul Rengel has 35 years of
experience in profession practice with international
firms.
Mr Terry Sweet Managing
Director
Terry brings substantial technical,
corporate, commercial and public company management experience
to XRF Scientific. He posses tertiary qualifications in
analytical chemistry, is a former fellow of the Australian
Institute of Company Directors and has for the past twenty
years served on the boards of various public and private
companies including,
Western Biotechnology Ltd (takeover
by Hoffman LaRoche)
Scientific Services Ltd (takeover by
Societe Generale De Surveillance)
Black Mountain Gold Ltd (takeover by
Intermin Resources Ltd)
Jetset Travelworld Ltd (currently
listed with $200+ million market capitalisation).
Mr Ken Baxter (Non
Executive)
Ken is a director of TFG
International Pty Ltd and Baxter & Associates Pty Ltd,
Principal Policy Advisor to the Chief Secretary of PNG
Government; Director of Hydro-Electric Corporation of
Tasmania, Air Niugini Ltd, XRF Scientific Ltd, Astopbiohealth
Ltd and AVT Plasma Ltd; Chairman, Computronics Holdings Ltd;
former Secretary of Victorian Department of Premier &
Cabinet and Director-General of NSW Premier's Department;
former Director, KPMG National Office; former Commissioner,
Australian National Railways Commission; former Chairman of
the Australian Dairy Corporation and the Australian Dairy
Research and Development Corporation.
Ken Baxter has a high level capacity
to understand problems, determine the core issues, define a
long term strategy, deal with the short-term transitional
tactics and manage the implementation of the solutions. He has
built organisational esprit de corps after taking tough and
difficult decisions, managed a wide range of internal and
external stakeholders and significantly improved the bottom
line results in both in the private and public sector.
Mr John Parsons Director and Manager
of Modutemp.
John founded Modutemp Pty Ltd in 1993
to provide Australian Industry with quality products
manufactured in Australian for Australian conditions.
John completed his four year
apprenticeship as an Electrical fitter with the then State
Electricity Commission of Western Australia (SECWA).
He has studied at Mt Lawley TAFE for a Certificate of
Industrial Electronics. John has worked with SECWA as a power
system control technician from 1972 to 1976 and established
Technical Electrical Services (TES) as an electrical
contracting business in 1977. TES became involved in the
design, manufacture and repair of all types of furnaces which
lead to it becoming Modutemp in 1988. Modutemp Pty Ltd was
incorporated in 1993.
John has extensive experience in the
design, manufacturing and operation of electrical and gas
furnaces, plus temperature and power
systems.
Mr David Brown Director and Manager X
Ray Flux.
David has over 25 years experience in
R&D and the manufacturing of X-ray flux chemicals. He
pioneered the commercial development of X-ray fluxes in
Australia and was
responsible for the commercialisation of current formulae now
used by most Australian X-ray flux
users.
David was previously Chief Chemist
for the Swan Brewery Co. Ltd, where he carried out research
involving the separation of proteins by gel electrophoresis, a
technique that has subsequently progressed to the modern
techniques of DNA separation and profiling. David holds B. Sc.
and B.Ec degrees from the University of Western Australia and
has held the position of Chairman of the Scientific Industries
Council of WA.
Ms Kiran Badlani B Bus,
ASA
Kiran was appointed to the position
of Company Secretary in August 2006. She is a member of the
CPA and affiliate member of the Chartered Secretaries
Australia.
Prior to her work with XRFS, Kiran
held a number of senior positions with various manufacturing
companies and an oil & gas
company.
Mr James
Foster AIMM General Manager, Laser Analysis
Technologies and Group Sales & Marketing Manager – XRF
Scientific Limited,
James joined XRF Scientific Limited
in late 2006 after twenty years in the precious metals
industry. During this time James became the National Sales
Manager for AGR Matthey having originally joined Johnson
Matthey in Australia in 1986.
His experience in the precious metals industry has been varied
from products for the Jewellery Industry, including a spell as
a director of the Jewellers Association of Australia Ltd, to
his specialised area of Platinum products for laboratory and
catalyst gauze for chemical production. During this time James
has been able to form and maintain strong customer
relationships and further develop sales
opportunities.
James was promoted into the Group
Sales & Marketing Manager role in May 2007 and has spent
sometime working in XRF Scientific’s Perth Headoffice, prior to relocating to
Victoria to to take on the
role of General Manager, Laser Analysis Technologies in
February 2008.
Mr Allen Parson Group Metallurgist
and Manager, Precious Metals
Engineering.
Mr. Parsons established Precious
Metals Engineering in 1985 to supply platinum labware to the
established and growing Western Australian resource industry.
As a qualified metallurgist, Mr. Parsons has been involved in
significant innovation in the technical aspects of platinum
labware production. He also contributed to the design and
development of new technologies for laboratory furnaces.
Mr. Parsons was previously a director
of investment Company Prudential West Ltd and is the
co-inventor of a silver based water treatment system. Mr.
Parsons is a Metallurgy graduate from the Fremantle TAFE,
Western
Australia.
Mr Steve Prossor Operations General
Manager, Automated Fusion
Technology.
Steve has over fifteen years
experience in the design, manufacture and marketing of
scientific instruments for X-Ray Fluorescence and ICP-AE
analysis techniques. He was a founding director of Automated
Fusion Technology Pty Ltd and has a strong background in
electronics and scientific
instrumentation.
Steve has overall responsibility for
both sales and marketing and production of the Phoenix
range of gas powered fusion machines and development of new
products for the XRF Industry.
Mr Gino Manfredi General Manager APS
Labware.
Gino has been involved in the
precious metals industry since the early
1980s. During this time Gino has gained considerable
experience in the administration and sales and marketing
aspects of a unique industry. In 1991 Gino was
involved in the creation of AGR Industrial Products, a then
division of the West
Australian Mint.
Gino was instrumental is assuring
that the division was a success and he brings that knowledge
and experience to APS Labware. APS was established as joint
venture between XRF Scientific Ltd and AGR Matthey (formerly
AGR Industrial Products / Joint Venture). APS is now a wholly
owned XRF Scientific Ltd company .Gino has been successfully
managing APS since it’s creation.
Dr Bruce
Chadwick B.Sc (Hons), PhD, GDipBA, MRACI –
LIBS Technology Manager, Laser Analysis
Technologies.
Bruce has had a distinguished
scientific research and management career that has included
positions at the University of NSW,
the State Electricity Commission of Victoria and CRC (Clean
Power from Lignite). His developments in laser science and
applications have led to patenting of the laser plasma
spectrometer technology now sold by Laser Analysis
Technologies.
Bruce holds a PhD in Chemistry from
Macquarie
University and a
graduate diploma in Business Administration from the
University of Queensland.
His professional memberships include the Royal Australian Chemical Institute, the
Australian Institute of Energy and Science Industry Australia
(SIA).
