Digester Hot Box

Overview

There are many types of precious metal bearing material that do not lend themselves to melting, incineration or stripping. These materials can be separated (or digested) using a variety of acid digestion methods.

The 8DHB11 hot air acid digestion box allows the selected material to be completely dissolved into liquid form using our hot air digestion box. The process allows the separation and precipitation of the precious metals from the non-precious metals present in the resulting liquid. The advantage of this process is that it reveals any and all precious metal that may be encapsulated in a non-metal housing or hidden in a multiple layer of metal deposits.

Features include:

  • Easy to load and unload test tubes
  • High sample capacity, providing greater throughput
  • Anodised aluminium used throughout for greater acid resistance
  • Electronics housed away from acid fumes
  • Programmable controller comprising 300 steps giving greater flexibility
  • Air driven motors complete with variable speed controller
  • Element power to supply shorter heat up time
  • Minimal operator involvement and supervision, set programme and leave
